An ocean-going tugboat built at the Ateliers et Chantiers de France in Dunkirk for the Société de Remorquage et de Sauvetage du Nord, JEAN BART was named on 25 February 1956. Powered by two Werkspoor diesel engines of 1,250 hp, each on one drive shaft, it was one of the largest ocean-going tugs in Europe at the time. After decommissioning at Dunkirk in January 1965, she was sold to Holland in July of the same year and renamed Utrecht. In 1977, she began her third life in Greece under the name of Krita. In 1993, she went to Honduras, where she will finally retire from the service.
