Enamel paint RLM 80 Olivgrün Olive green Arcus 265 RLM 80 Olive Green Color Guide:
-RLM 80 Olivgrün was implemented in 1941, when the leadership of the German Wehrmacht realized that military operations in the desert required a new approach to camouflage. RLM 80 Olivgrün added to L.Dv. 521/1 in November 1941.
-RLM 80 Olive Green was used in Luftwaffe camouflage to better camouflage aircraft over tropical and desert landscapes.
-Stains of RLM 80 Olivgrün were to be applied irregularly to the upper surfaces of the aircraft, previously painted in RLM 79 Sandgelb. Under this scheme, the lower surfaces were to be painted in RLM 78 Himmelblau. Note that this scheme was used only for aircraft painted in desert camouflage directly at the factories. Some aircraft redeployed from the European fronts retained the green camouflage of RLM 70 and RLM 71, partially covered with specks of RLM 79. RLM 80 was not used in such cases
