Sappers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as in other armies of the world, the tasks of sapper units include conducting engineering reconnaissance of the area, equipping and eliminating mine and explosive barriers. Also, Ukrainian sappers are engaged in the engineering support of their units for the conduct of defensive or offensive combat operations. The position of a sapper in the army is considered one of the most difficult. They are often forced to work ahead of their infantry, being at the very front of the battle, as they lead the way, literally and figuratively. Dogs help sappers to find explosive objects. The canine service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was created in 2017, and with the beginning of large-scale hostilities, the need for mine detection dogs has increased several times. - The set includes three figures of soldiers of the sapper unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a figure of a sapper dog.
