The semi-tracked aircraft carrier Sd.Kfz.251 was used by the Wehrmacht on all fronts and on a large scale during World War II. Equipped with a Maybach 6-cylinder gasoline engine, it can reach speeds of up to 55 km / h even on rough terrain. It was primarily used as an infantry fighting vehicle, but many versions were produced during the war for increasingly specialized operational tasks. Half-track Sd.Kfz. 251/8 Krankenpanzerwagen was installed and used as an armored ambulance to transport the wounded close to the front line. It could accommodate up to eight seated wounded or four wounded and two stretchers and was equipped with medical equipment for first aid.
