Yasen (Project 885) is a modern Russian nuclear-powered destroyer submarine (ANN). The first unit of this class was launched in 2010. The units are built at the Siewasz shipyard in the city of Severodvinsk. The Yasen-type ship is 139.5 m long, 15 m wide, and has an underwater displacement of approximately 13,800 tons. Maximum underwater speed almost certainly exceeds 30 knots. The main armament of the units of this class is 10 torpedo tubes of caliber 650 mm and 533 mm and 8 multi-tube launchers for 32 missiles SS-NX-26 (P-800 Onyx) or 40 missiles SS-N-27A or SS-N-30A. rockets Jasień-class ships (Project 885) were built as completely new units, combining advanced anti-submarine and anti-surface anti-submarine warfare capabilities, standing on the border between ANN and SSGN types. When designing Jasień-class ships, great attention was paid to sound insulation of the structure and noise minimization, which was mostly successful, including using a pump-jet system. It is assumed that these parameters exceed the capabilities achieved by the US Los Angeles-class ships (including modified ships of this type) and in some respects are equal to the Seawolf-class ships. On the other hand, units of the Jasień class have probably a lower so-called tactical speed than the Seawolf class. The safe submersion depth for Jasień-class ships is probably 450-500 m, but possibly as high as 600 m. Project 885 units also have very rich electronic equipment, with a bow sonar with a large spherical antenna. The cost of building a unit of this type is estimated at approximately 1.6 billion dollars. prices from 2014, but these costs are likely to increase, as further modifications of ships of this type are planned for 2-3 units. Paints and glue are not included in the set.
