Due to concerns about new Allied fighters, the German Air Force put forward requirements for new fighters. The Dr.Kurt Tank project finally evolved into the Fw 190, which was considered one of the best fighters until the end of World War II. The impressive performance of the Fw 190 soon led to the replacement of the Messerschmidt Bf-109. The Fw 190D-12 R14 was a version of the D-12 torpedo bomber. It has the same large vertical stabilizer as the Ta 152 and D-10. The aircraft is equipped with a 30 mm MK108 gun that fires through the propeller sleeve, and can carry an LT1b or LTF5b torpedo on the ETC504 central bomb rack under the fuselage. Paints and glue are not included in the set.
