The Porsche 935 is a German sports and racing car that was first introduced to the public in 1976. Its production lasted from 1976 to 1981 and was centered in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Germany (West Germany). The 935 model was developed on the basis of the Porsche 930 (911 Turbo) and the Carrera RSR model in order to meet the regulatory requirements for FIA Group 5 racing cars. The designer of the new car was Norbert Singer. The Porsche 935 had a body based on the 930 model, but modified, especially at the front, and with improved aerodynamic properties. The car was also relatively light, and its weight ranged from 970 to 1025 kilograms. Three main versions were produced during production: 935 Coupe, 935/77 Coupe and 935/78 Coupe "Moby Dick". They were distinguished primarily by engines with a volume of 2.8 to 3.2 liters, which generated power from 485 hp. up to 845 hp! Moreover, regardless of the version, the Porsche 935 had good traction. All these elements meant that in the second half of the 1970s this model clearly dominated its racing class - suffice it to say that the Porsche 935 started in 370 races, winning 123 of them! The Porsche 935 raced mainly in the colors of the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft team (DRM for short).
