The personnel of the officer corps of the Wehrmacht was distinguished by high standards. At the beginning of World War II, it was a unique, corporately closed organization with its own concepts of officer honor and moral principles. Many of them were former officers of the Imperial German Army. Staff officers played a significant role in the Wehrmacht, receiving special attention and playing a crucial role in directing operations in all phases of the war. A diverse fleet of vehicles was used to transport staff officers, including the versatile G4 (W31) off-road four-door sedan. Developed by Daimler-Benz in 1934, it was produced until 1939 in a four-door sunroof version. This car had an 8-cylinder engine with a capacity of 100 hp. (later models - 110 hp) and accommodated six passengers. Some machines were equipped with MG 34 machine guns (one or two). They served to transport Wehrmacht command staff, and were also used to guard and escort headquarters convoys.
