The model kit is disassembled and unpainted. Paints necessary for finishing and glue for the Soviet BMP-1P kit are not included in the delivery. The BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle was developed in the 1960s and entered service with the Soviet Army in 1966. Serial production of the car began this year and lasted until 1982. BMP-1 was equipped with one UTD-20 diesel engine with a capacity of 300 hp. and could carry up to 8 paratroopers. The main armament of the BMP-1: 73-mm gun 2A28, 1 machine gun PKT cal.: 7.62-mm and 1 launcher of ATRK 9M14M "Malyutka". At the time of arming, the BMP-1 proved to be a revolutionary design that had no analogues in the NATO forces. The use of a relatively powerful engine and the ability to float in the BMP-1 gave it great maneuverability on the battlefield. The car's armor, at least in theory, made it resistant to small-caliber fire. In turn, powerful weapons (especially modern in the 1960s, the "Malyutka" ATGM) gave the BMP-1 a very good chance against the armored personnel carriers of Western countries, and even allowed it to fight NATO anti-tank missiles! However, numerous design defects were discovered during operation. First of all, it is high vulnerability to fire from the rear, insufficient reservation and very low modernization. Also, in practice, the tactics of using the BMP-1, which consisted in almost rushing to the enemy's position and quickly disembarking soldiers, turned out to be a favorite of the Soviet Army and was used, for example, by Egypt in the Yom Kippur War (1973). fraught with great risk and caused significant losses to the attacking party. Despite these shortcomings, the BMP-1 was undoubtedly a breakthrough design, defining for many years in its class of machines. It is not surprising because it was widely exported to the countries of the Warsaw Pact and the Third World. BMP-1 was also used in many conflicts: in the Yom Kippur War (1973), in the war in Afghanistan (1979-1989))
, in the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988) and even during hostilities in Ukraine in 2014!
