Prefab model 1/35 Flakpanzer Panther 20 mm Flakvierling MG and "Coelian" 2 in 1 Takom 2105 Flakpanzer Panther “Coelian” with 37 mm Flakzwilling 341 and Flakpanzer Panther 20 mm flakvierling MG 151/20 After the design of the Panther tank was completed, the Luftwaffe and the German Army began offering Flakpanzer variants as early as 1942. The quadruple 20mm MG 151/20 system was initially offered at 600–750 rpm and a muzzle velocity of 700 meters per second (2,300 ft per second) to 785 meters per second (2,580 ft per second). However, this was soon rejected due to the demands of using more modern and powerful weapons. Rheinmetall-Borsig then offered several configurations codenamed "Coelian", the most popular of which in May 1944 was armed with twin 37mm Flak 44 systems. This weapon fired at a practical rate of 150rpm, with a muzzle velocity of 770–770– 820 meters per second (2,500–2,700 feet per second) with an effective range of up to 4,200 meters. however, only an early wooden mock-up was produced on a Panther Ausf.D hull in February 1945 due to a lack of available tanks for conversion due to increased Allied strategic bombing. The later version was never produced in any form, but plans were drawn up with a revised turret.
