Sturmpanzer IV Brummbar (Sd.Kfz. 166) is a German armored gun based on the Pz.Kpfw IV Ausf. EG of the Second World War. The Brummbar was created as a result of the experience of fighting in Stalingrad and was intended to be used as an armored gun that could be used in battles in the city. The first samples were produced at Alkett in early 1943. Serial production lasted from May 1943 to March 1945, a total of 306 pieces of this weapon were produced. The drive was provided by a Maybach HL120 TRM engine with a capacity of 300 hp. The main armament was the StuH 43 15cm howitzer, and later the StuH 43/1 L/12 15cm howitzer specially developed for the Sturmpanzer IV. This type of weapon took part, in particular, in the Battle of Kursk, in the Battle of Anzio, in the Battle of Falaise, or in the suppression of the Warsaw Uprising.
