Assembly model 1/35 self-propelled artillery Gepard Heller 81127 Anti-aircraft tank "Gepard" (FlakPz Gepard) is an autonomous, highly mobile, combat-capable in any weather anti-aircraft tank of German production, developed and manufactured back in the 1970s. For a long time it was the cornerstone of the Bundeswehr air defense. The Gepard was developed to provide the Bundeswehr's mobile tank and armored infantry forces with protection against low-flying aircraft and helicopter gunships in the tactical context of combat with associated weapons. When choosing weapons, they also took into account the combat capabilities of heavily armored attack helicopters, such as the Mil Mi-24 Hind, the armor of which effectively protected against projectiles with a caliber of up to 23 mm. When hitting ground targets, such as tanks or wheeled vehicles, detection and tracking was done visually through one of the commander's or gunner's periscopes. On the other hand, due to the relatively large caliber of guns compared to most infantry fighting vehicles, it could easily destroy lightly armored vehicles such as BMPs, armored personnel carriers and other anti-aircraft vehicles.
