Assembly model 1/35 tank PL-01Prototype Polish Light TankTakom 2127 Based on the Swedish CV90120-T light tank, the PL-01 concept tank was jointly developed by Obrum of Poland and BAE Systems of Great Britain in 2013. The engine compartment is located in the front of the hull, and the unmanned turret has options for installing 105 mm or 120 mm weapons for firing conventional ammunition or anti-tank guided missiles. The PL-01 has been designed with lots of angles to reduce its radar signature, and mounts temperature-controlled cooling plates on the hull and turret to increase stealth cloaking, allowing the PL-01 to match the infrared signature of its environment to confuse tracking systems. IR weapons. The new Polish tank has modular armor protection with multilayer ceramic-aramid armor. Damaged additional armor modules can be easily replaced in the field, and future upgrades can be easily integrated. The crew (commander and gunner) is located in the body of the machine, and four infantrymen can be transported in the rear part of the body. On the rear side of the case there is a door, the upper part of which opens forward, and the lower part folds down to form a step. A high level of crew protection is provided by a security capsule built into the machine, which simultaneously relies on highly effective active and passive protection systems, such as multi-layer ceramic-aramid armor, additional splinter sleeves for crew protection, automatic fire. system of suppression and protection against RHC. The hull has a high level of protection against anti-personnel mines and improvised explosive devices, designed to withstand explosions equivalent to 10 kg of TNT anywhere under the hull. Frontal armor with additional armor modules provides protection against armor-piercing projectiles of caliber 30-40 mm, and circular protection against armor-piercing projectiles of caliber 14.5 mm.
