Dragon's Black Label series previously produced kits of the famous American Patriot PAC-1 and PAC-3 air defense systems in 1/35 scale. Now the family has been replenished with the release of the Patriot PAC-2, which is used by the US Army and a number of other armed forces around the world. The MIM-104C missile introduced with the PAC-2 was designed specifically to intercept ballistic missiles, not as a purely surface-to-air missile system. The PAC-2 entered US Army units in 1990 in time for deployment during the first Gulf War, and they continue to be used by many militaries. Like Black Label's previous Patriot Air Defense System kits, this latest one is just as impressive as it features an M901 launcher on an M860 semi-trailer base. Brand new for this release is a new instrument generator set that fits this particular version of the Patriot. The details are clearly formed and all parts of the system are fully represented. With the adoption of the Patriot PAC-2 in many countries, modelers also have a wide choice of finishes for this impressive plastic kit.
