with tropical filters Developed by the Bristol Airplane Company, the Bristol Beaufort torpedo boat began entering RAF Coastal Command units at the end of 1939. The aircraft was actively used to perform various tasks, and its monthly output at the peak of production was up to 30 machines per month. In the process of operation, BristolBeaufort was improved, the composition of weapons and equipment changed. The Mk.IA modification had a new machine gun turret similar to the one installed on the Bristol Blenheim bomber. Torpedo carriers also began to install ASV radars, which were used to search for surface targets. One of the regions of combat service of this aircraft was the Mediterranean Sea and North Africa. Here, their targets were convoys of transport ships and Axis warships. Operation in high temperature conditions also led to the use of modified carburetor air intakes on BristolBeaufort engines.
