Caudron C.630 Simoun (English Caudron C.630 Simoun) is an aircraft designed in the 1930s by Marcel Riffard for the Caudron company. It was a four-seater monoplane with increased reliability and comfort. Among the many variants that followed the C.630 aircraft, the C.635 model with the Renault Bengali 6Q-09 engine became the most successful and was built in fairly large numbers. Pilot and writer/poet Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, on a 1937 flight from New York to Tierra del Fuego, crashed this plane on takeoff in Guatemala and was seriously injured.
