HobbyBoss 80330 Grumman FM-2 Wildcat 1/48 model aircraft

The FM-2 is an F-4 Wildcat aircraft manufactured by General Motors under license from Grumman. The FM-2 aircraft was identical to the XF4-F8 prototype. The FM-2 was distinguished, first of all, by the new powerful Wright R-1820-56W engine with a capacity of 1369 km, which allowed to achieve good characteristics, despite the increase in weight. A total of 4,407 fighters of this type were produced by General Motors, of which the last production series were equipped with guides for unguided HVAR missiles. FM-2 production continued in 1943-45.
