Eduard 84185 Z-526AFS Akrobat Weekend edition assembled model 1/48 aircraft
Zlin Z-526 Acrobat is a Czechoslovak sport aerobatic aircraft of the post-war period. The machine was built in the layout of a low-lying wing with the landing gear removed in flight according to the classic layout. The flight of the prototype took place in 1959, and soon serial production began. In its course, more than 1,400 aircraft of this type of all modifications were created. The length of the aircraft in the Trainer-Master variant was 7.8 m with a wingspan of 10.6 m and a height of 2.06 m. Initially, the drive was supplied by one Walter Minor 6-III engine with a capacity of 160 hp, but later other power units began to be used. The highest speed was up to 220 km/h. The Z-526 model was developed by the Czechoslovak aircraft factory Zlin Aircraft as, which produced the first aircraft in its history in 1933! The presented model was a far-reaching development of other aircraft produced at the Zlinsk plant, including the Z-181 model. During serial production, several modifications of this aircraft were created, among them: Z-526 (basic version, two-seat), Z-526A (single-seat version), Z-526AFM Condor (variant with Avia M337 engine) or Z-526F (version with powered by Avia (M137A) Undoubtedly, the Zlin Z-526 aircraft turned out to be a successful design that was successful in domestic and foreign markets.
