Prefab model 1/48 aircraft Fouga CM.170 Magister Pack of 2 Kits Kinetic K48051 This is a set of die-cast plastic model jets. From Kinetic's description: The world's first purpose-built two-seater jet training aircraft, the French Fouga Magister, took to the air for the first time on July 23, 1952. Almost 1000 Magisters were produced and exported to many countries. The distinctive V-tail of the CM.170 Magister originated on the CM.8 airframe that Fuga used to experiment with jet engines. Development of the aircraft was completed when the French Air Force selected the Alpha Jet as its new jet trainer. The Israeli Air Force operated a license-produced version of the IAI Tsukit. Although primarily a trainer, it was used during the 1967 Six Day War by No. 147 Squadron as a close support aircraft, attacking targets on the Egyptian front on the first day of the war when Israel's more powerful fighter aircraft were deployed in Operation Focus against Arabs air bases The Belgian Air Force used 50 Magisters as their primary trainers. The Red Devils aerobatic team also used them as demonstration aircraft. A small number of Magisters were used until September 2007 as flying service aircraft for senior officers.
