GAZ-MM is a Soviet light military truck. The first copies of this car appeared in the late 1930s. Serial production continued in 1938-1950. The drive was provided by one carburetor engine with a capacity of 50 hp. GAZ-MM was created as a development of the GAZ-AA truck, and the main change was the use of a more powerful engine, which slightly increased the characteristics of the car. GAZ-MM was also an unlicensed copy of the American Ford AA truck. The truck was characterized by good driving characteristics, decent off-road capability, and above all, it was relatively cheap to manufacture and easy to repair and operate. In the first months of 1942, due to the lack of raw materials, production costs were further reduced, for example: the door in the steering cabin was removed, the front brakes were not installed, or the front bumper was removed. Cars of this type served in the Red Army throughout the Second World War.
