The FV4030/4 Challenger 1 ("Challenger 1") is a third-generation main battle tank (MBT) of the British Army from 1983 until the mid-1990s, when it was replaced by the new Challenger 2. After significant modernization, it remains the main battle tank of the Royal Jordanian Army. Variants for the Jordanian military (Al Hussein tank) are equipped with a Falcon turret with a remote control system.
