1:35 Soviet rocket salvo fire system 2B7R BM-13 KhMM Katyusha multiple rocket launchers are a type of rocket artillery first created and put into service by the Soviet Union during World War II. Such rocket launchers deliver explosives to the target area faster than conventional artillery, but with lower accuracy and require more time to reload. They are fragile compared to artillery guns, but inexpensive and easy to manufacture. Katyushas of the Second World War were usually mounted on trucks. This mobility gave the Katyusha another advantage: the ability to deliver a powerful strike immediately and then move before being detected and attacked by counter-battery fire.
This variant of the BM-13XMM uses the post-war ZIL-131 chassis.
