US Air Force Vietnam Airfield
During the Vietnam War, the US military made extensive use of combat aircraft. Aircraft were used for a variety of tasks and played a significant role in this conflict. The aircraft used the most were the US Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. The US Army also had its own air force, which used aircraft mainly for reconnaissance, targeting and air strikes. OV-10A and O-2 aircraft were used for direct support and combat support of troops. Thus, the OV-10A performed the functions of a dispatcher plane, a surveillance plane and a light attack aircraft. Quite maneuverable, with a high degree of reaction to the threat (they appeared over the target 15 minutes after receiving the request to attack), they proved themselves the best in Vietnam. O-2 aircraft were used as advanced air traffic controllers. The military version of the plane could carry signal missiles, containers with NAR and other light weapons. – Includes 0-2A model aircraft, OV-10A model aircraft and 5 Vietnam War American pilot and technician figures – Detailed uniforms and equipment of pilots and technicians – Highly detailed fuselages and cockpits - Exact copy of aircraft prototypes
