Paint set Ukrainian AF kit v.1 blue pixel 8x17ml Hataka Hobby HTK-CS96 Standard colors of the Ukrainian Su-27 fleet in pixel camouflage The Su-27 Flanker is a twin-engine multirole fighter (S version, with the ability to engage ground targets)/pure fighter-interceptor (P version). In 1992, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Armed Forces of Ukraine inherited a significant number of various aircraft, including up to 67 Su-27 variants of S, P and UB. In the following two decades, due to lack of funding, some airframes were finally withdrawn, sold or placed in temporary storage. In 2012, the Zaporizhzhia State Aviation Repair Plant began overhauling the Su-27 with partial modernization to the Su-27S1M/P1M and UB1M/UP1M standard. Refurbished Su-27s have a characteristic pixel camouflage in two variants (applied in 2012-15 and after 2015), which is distinguished by a different light blue color of the upper surfaces.
