Assembled model 1:35 tank Soviet T-64B MOD 1984 Trumpeter 05521

The T-64 is a Soviet main battle tank, the so-called 2nd generation of the Cold War era and modern times. The first prototypes of this car were built in 1962-1963, and the car entered service in 1964. Estimates of its series production vary, and figures ranging from about 7,800 to about 12,500 cars can be found. The combat weight of the tank was up to 42.5 tons. Drive was provided by one 5DTF engine with a capacity of 700 horsepower. The main armament was the 125 mm 2A46 smoothbore gun, with secondary armament being the 7.62 mm PKT machine gun and the 12.7 mm NSW machine gun. The T-64 tank, although produced almost simultaneously with the T-62 and designed in parallel with the T-72, was in fact an independent design, much more complex and technologically advanced on many levels. First, as the first tank in the Soviet Army, it had only a 3-man crew and an automatic loader for the main weapon. He also had one - probably the first in the world! - de facto composite armor. It also had a very unusual engine with relatively little power but generated a lot of peak power. In addition, from 1969, the T-64 was fitted with a 125 mm gun, which also meant that it was armed with much more powerful weapons than the T-54 / T-55 and T-62. All these technological innovations and the high complexity of the entire design led to the fact that the T-64 was never exported, and its only user was the Soviet Army Paints and glue are not included in the set
