GAZ-67 (popularly known as "gazyk") is a Soviet off-road passenger car of the Second World War and the post-war period. The first copies of this machine appeared in 1943, and serial production continued in 1943-1953 at factories in the city of Gorky. The car was equipped with an SV engine with a capacity of up to 54 hp. The GAZ-67 was developed as a basic light all-terrain vehicle of the Red Army to replace the GAZ-61 and GAZ-64 vehicles. The inspiration for the new car was the American Bantam car, which later evolved into the Willys Jeep. GAZ-67 - in comparison with its predecessors - differed in the used power unit, gearbox, reinforced undercarriage, and also differed in less failure. During and shortly after World War II, it was used primarily to transport 4 to 6 people or 400 kilograms of cargo. Often, various types of radio stations were installed on it, but rarely - weapons in the form of a 7.62-mm Maxim machine gun or a 12.7-mm DSZK machine gun. GAZ-67 cars were widely used in the Red Army since 1943 and in parts of the Polish People's Army. Interesting, Il-2 is a Soviet single-engine attack aircraft of a mixed design with a classic tail, developed by Serhiy Ilyushin during the Second World War. The flight of the prototype took place on October 2, 1939, and serial production began in 1940 and lasted until 1945. A total of 36,183 examples of this large aircraft were created. The power unit was a Mikulin AM-38 12-cylinder piston engine with a capacity of up to 1,600 hp. The concept of the Il-2 aircraft was based on the desire to create a heavily armed and armored attack aircraft designed to defeat the enemy's ground targets and its armored vehicles. Production aircraft had 4 to 6 mm of armor around the engine and cockpit. Therefore, Il-2 was resistant both to fire from small arms and to single hits from 20-mm guns. By improving the quality of crew training and using new tactics, the IL-2 became an aircraft capable of wreaking havoc among the German Pantsevaffe. It was not by chance that the Germans gave it the nickname "flying death", and the designer nicknamed it the "flying tank". During the war, about a dozen versions of the Ił-2 were created, the most important of which is the Ił2m3. Its crew consisted of two people - a pilot and a rear gunner, the AM-38F "Mikulin" installation (1700 km) was used as an engine and a self-sealing fuel tank was used. Aerodynamic properties were also improved. A total of 7,377 cars of this version were built until 1944. Il-2 took part in all major battles on the Eastern Front - from Moscow (1941) through Stalingrad and Kursk (1942/1943) to the Berlin operation in 1945. data (version Ił-2 mod. 1942): length: 11.65 m, wingspan: 14.6 m, maximum speed: 426 km / h, practical range: 740 km, practical ceiling 6200 m, armament: permanent - 2 guns WJ cal. 23 mm, 2 x 7.62 mm SzKAS machine guns, suspended 8 RS-82 / RS-132 unguided missiles, up to 400 kg of bombs.
