Assembled model 1:35 SAU StuH 42 Ausf.G Border Model BT-036

The StuH 42 Ausf.G Late Production was a German assault howitzer of the Second World War, developed on the chassis of the StuG III Ausf.G tank destroyer. The StuH 42 (Sturmhaubitze 42, or Assault Howitzer 42) was designed to provide direct fire support to infantry as the main StuG IIIs were relegated to anti-tank roles. It was armed with a modified 105mm leFH 18 light field howitzer. The Late Production version of the Ausf.G featured simplified production solutions, sometimes including a "Saukopf" (pig's head) gun mask, as well as increased protection for the commander and an MG34 machine gun on the shield.
